Koalatech's Website Development Process

The Process:

We develop websites in 4 phases. Each phase is in collaboration with you, with adjustments made through review with you at the end of each phase. This ensures that we keep thinking, and keep questioning what we are doing, so that the end result is a highly successful, clean and clear image of your business.

Phase 1: Design

During the design phase, we get to know you, and your business. We learn everything we can about what you do, who your customers are, and what your competition is doing. We work with you to figure out what identity to present, and what message(s) to send. We figure out how the user will navigate the site, what experience they should have, and what they will do based on key interests. We follow a psychological thought process for discovery of content and elements, and determine the best way to present your message. We work with you to determine an overall design for your site, based on your tastes and feelings.

By the end of the design phase, you will have a clear vision, and a design document, which will outline everything we are going to do, how it will work, and most importantly how the message will be delivered. The document is a plan, and we will go over it with you to ensure it is correct, and adjust it however necessary.

Phase 2: Production

Once the plan is developed we move into the production phase. During this time images are finalized and the main site elements are developed. We build backend systems, admins, and the front end of the site. We draft content and send it to you for approval and we put together all the code, CSS, and components to make your site happen.

By the end of the production phase, your site will contain all of the code, and backend systems that allow it to function. It is common that the content is still being hammered out when the production phase comes to an end. However all of the functionality of the site, its navigational structure and style are complete.

Phase 3: Refinement

At this point we go over the site with you, we identify issues or concerns, we re-evaluate the site and determine if the message is being sent clearly. All content is finalized and reviewed.

By the end of this phase your site is all set up, complete and ready to launch. We are all sure it is the best approach for sending the perfect message, and usually you have a very high level of ownership and pride in your site at this time.

Phase 4: Launch

Now it is time to move this site over to your new server. We handle that for you, but also, we install analytics for detailed site tracking and any other emailer or API code. We then meet with you to discuss marketing the site, enhancing the image and where to go from here.

What next?

Once your site is live, we are not done. We will analyze the tracking data after a couple of months, and determine what is working and what is not. We will work with you to come up with a plan of action to perfect your site and to further strengthen your image. In short, we will stick with you and make sure we are in this together.
